Sibiu at Dusk

Description

As dusk settles over Sibiu, the old town begins to look exactly as it did centuries ago. When German merchants, craftsmen and guild masters shaped these streets.

In the Middle Ages, the city was known as Hermannstadt, one of the strongest fortified settlements in Transylvania. A place where towers watched continuously for danger, and where legends say the rooftops “could see” everything.

Sibiu’s famous “eyes on the houses”, those half-moon attic windows, were believed by locals to watch over the city at night. Some even whispered that if you walked these streets after sundown, the rooftops would “follow your steps,” protecting you or judging you...depending on your heart.

At dusk, the soft film grain turns the tower and streets into a fragment of that old world: quiet, watchful, and full of stories that refuse to disappear.
